The Two Supplements EVERYONE Should Be Taking

When it comes to building muscle, there are 2 supplements that everyone should be taking. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how long you have been working out, or what your body fat percentage is – these two supplements are non-negotiable when you are looking to build as much muscle as possible.

The first supplement that everyone should take if they are trying to build muscle is creatine. This can be in the form of creatine monohydrate or creatine hydrochloride (HCL). Which form of creatine you take is based solely upon your own preference. Those that that find they have gastrointestinal issues when taking creatine monohydrate will find it that creatine HCL is easier on their stomach and easier to digest.

While creatine monohydrate is tasteless, HCL can be very sour and is often found to be hard to take by itself. This form of creatine is more likely to found in a supplement that has a sour flavor, such as a pre-workout supplement. Don’t be mistaken, however, as creatine monohydrate and creatine HCL are the same in efficacy and desired results.

So, again, which form of creatine you take is completely up to you.

The other supplement that everyone trying to build muscle should take is protein. This is mainly to help you reach your daily protein intake goals, usually 1-1.2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight, depending on how active you are and how much muscle you are looking to build.

While it is very possible to meet your daily protein goals through diet alone, it comes at an economic cost. The price of protein has gone up in the form of the cost of beef, chicken, lamb, and fish. An easy and cost effective way to meet your protein goals every day is with a simple protein powder. More often than not, you are getting all of your protein needs met, but at smaller cost on a gram per gram basis.
